The conference is the 5^th annual meeting of the European Society for Molecular Imaging - ESMI. The effort of the ESMI is to bring together top European scientists from various disciplines working in various fields of Molecular Imaging together to discuss latest research discoveries and possible translations into medical practice. With that, EMIM 2010 aims at fostering the coherence of a sustainable European Molecular Imaging Community with the common goal to translate fundamental research discoveries into medical application and health benefit for the European Society.

This year it is organized in close collaboration with the European Network of Excellence DiMI - Diagnostic Molecular Imaging, the ESR - European Society of Radiology, Clinigene - Clinical Gene Transfer & Therapy as well as COST - European Cooperation in Science and Technology; Actions D38 and BM0607.
